FOSE AiTS VAR 4 Video Conferencing Powered by Sonic Telecom
Washington, D.C. – FOSE, April 8, 2003 -- American
Information Technology Solutions Corporation (AiTS), a subsidiary of Indotronix
International Corporation (IIC), a global IT services company, and Sonic
Telecom, Ltd., a network-based provider of video transmission services,
today announced AiTS VAR 4. This video conferencing service is offered
to the Government market by AiTS, a value added reseller of Sonic Telecom,
Ltd. AiTS will offer government entities Sonic Video1™, Sonic Claro™
and Sonic Broadcaster™ as well as related hardware. AiTS VAR 4 powered
by Sonic Video1 is a patent-pending solution that enhances the reliability
and performance of video conferencing equipment–whether ISDN or
IP based.
“There’s an incredible need for the kind of secure, videoconferencing
solutions offered with our AiTS VAR 4, powered by Sonic, solution on display
at FOSE in Booth 643,” said Jim Bogaty, Vice President and COO of
AiTS. “In today's post 9/11 world, our government is facing some
of the most daunting IT challenges ever as it fights the war on terrorism
and begins to transform much of its infrastructure to meet new threAiTS.
Now more than ever, IT is becoming the new front line for America's defense.”
“The government represents a very significant opportunity
for Sonic and the expertise that AiTS has in systems integration and their
knowledge of the government contracting process and performance metrics
adds tremendous value to our offering”, stated Dominick DeAngelo,
Sonic’s President and COO.
AiTS VAR 4 is powered by Sonic Video1 Access Device (VAD).
Sonic Telecom has developed proprietary technology for the provisioning
of international H.320 videoconferencing services. The patent-pending
technique utilizes the VAD in conjunction with existing public ISDN networks
for ingress and egress to Sonic’s international ATM network for
highly secure long distance transport. AiTS VAR 4 powered by Sonic Video1
essentially extends the public international ISDN network to provide high
transmission quality for bonded multi-channel H.320 ISDN data calls, that
results in improved economy as compared to public international ISDN rates
for data service. ISDN-based videoconferencing is available to anyone
with videoconferencing equipment and an adequate local ISDN connection.
